Description and Table of Contents
Description
This illustrated text and reference, the product of close collaboration among neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons and neurologists, presents a concise but readable survey of clinical neurology and the many diseases of the central nervous system. Following an introduction to all the contemporary methods of imaging the CNS, this text continues with chapters on neurotraumatology, diseases of the eye, orbit and parasellar region, as well as diseases of the base of the skull and temporal bone. Numerous angiographic, CT and MRI images of congenital malformations, aneurisms and other forms of vasuclar diseases are also presented. In addition, guidelines are given on the best means of diagnosing cerebral and extracerebral tumours and metastases, and a further chapter is devoted to the optimal diagnosis of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the CNS. The techniques presented here are independent of local medical tastes, but are based on up-to-date technical capabilities which are available in most modern medical environments worldwide.
