Description
The first publication of Thomas Sheridan's translation of Guarini's famous and influential pastoral play Il Pastor Fido. Sheridan's translation seems not only more modern but also more faithful to the form and length of Guarini's work than the seventeenth-century edition by Sir Richard Fanshawe.
