内容説明

This volume is developed from a symposium sponsored by the Division of Geochemistry, Inc, at the 208th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society held in Washington, DC from August 21-26, 1994. It provides a comprehensive discussion of the geochemistry of sedimentary sulfur, including low-temperature transformations in early diagenesis, thermal reactions occurring during later diagenesis and catagenesis. It also examines in detail sulfur-organic matter interactions. The book also presents an interdisciplinary overview of recent research in the complex processes of sedimentary sulfure transformations. It should be of interest to: industrial, academic and government organic and inorganic geochemists; biogeochemists; environmental chemists; fuel chemists; petroleum chemists; and scientists and engineers interested in sulfure in environmental and geochemical systems.
