Description and Table of Contents
Description
Recent advances in the understanding of the heavy quark physics with and without the framework of the Heavy Quark Effective Theory are reviewed. This includes, among others, reviews on heavy quarks in lattice gauge theory, the production of heavy quarks and quarkonia, the physics of the top quark and the influence of the top quark on electroweak precision experiments. The experimental results provided by the ARGUS, CLEO and LEP experiments are also reviewed.
Table of Contents
- Form factors for heavy-to-light transitions, B. Stech
- new results on heavy quarks from ARGUS and CLEO, H. Schroder
- top quarks, J.H. Kuhn
- electroweak precision observables - an indirect access to the top quark, W. Hollik
- sum rules for heavy flavour transitions, A. Vainshtein
- calculation of the D and B meson lifetimes and the unitary triangle parameters, V. Chernyak
- hunting for the beauty heavy-light quark systems on the lattice, S. Gusken
- inclusive semileptonic B meson decays, E.A. Paschos
