内容説明

"Light-Tech" refers to a mode of building that is light, almost weightless; one that uses lightweight materials and elements, and that is marked by elegance and technical construction. It serves to describe furniture detailing and interior design equally well as it does a single family home, an office building or a bridge. Light-Tech utilizes such materials as aluminium, glass or titanium, creating an air of mobility, openness and transparency. This monograph studies the Light-Tech architecture of Richard Horden. Originally active in the marine and aerospace industries, Horden later worked with Grimshaw & Partner and Norman Foster. He has also been influenced by Buckminster Fuller and Jan Kaplicky. He now leads his own architecture firm based in London.
