内容説明
A study of fixed bed systems from an engineering viewpoint, this book looks at systems where gases or liquids (or both) pass through a layer of solid particles. These systems are in widespread use in a number of industrial areas including packed distillation, absorption, desorption and stripping columns, catalytic trickle bed reactors, biological wastewater treatment plants, reactors with immobilized enzymes, oil shale retorts, adsorption equipment for separation of mixtures or the removal of noxious gases, preparative chromatographs, metallurgical equipment, hydrogen storage systems, honeycomb reactors, heat recuperators, cooling towers and many others.
目次
- Structural inhomogeneities of random fixed beds
- velocity and pressure field in an inhomogeneous fixed bed
- velocity field under the trickling flow of liquid in a fixed bed
- the effect of flow inhomogeneities on heat dispersion in fixed beds
- the effect of flow inhomogeneities of trickling liquid on the course of heterogeneous catalytic reactions.
