Description

This book examines issues arising from the changing economic environment surrounding the delivery of health care services. Emphasis is placed on the issues, implications and strategies of particular concern for nursing and nurse administrators. The content is developed around four themes: economic issues that impact on nursing administrative practice; how constraints affect practice; administrative responses for system redesign; and economic considerations for selected aspects of nursing practice. A related theme is the emphasis on restructuring health care and nursing care delivery systems to use resources more effectively.
