内容説明
Although the end of the Cold War cannot clearly be dated, there are certain points in recent history that constitute markers in its final stages. This book, taking the final date as 1989, offers a longer historical analysis in order to trace elements of continuity, as well as discontinuity, across the Cold War and post-cold War periods. The book also deals with European security in the post-Cold War world - a complex and multifaceted phenomenon, caused not only by the collapse of an order that, although dangerous in its nuclear dimension and most uncomfortable for human rights activists in much of the East, had become comfortable to policy-makers in both East and West.
