内容説明

A guide to general teaching methods and models. Six chapters are devoted to classroom leadership functions, six chapters to instructional models and two chapters to teachers' school-wide roles. Each chapter contains a boxed summary of a research study to show students how the knowledge base on teaching is formed. Over 100 pages of structured observation, interview and reflection guides are provided at the end of chapters. Together with the general observation guidelines found in the "Resource Handbook", they constitute an interactive field guide that should assist students in gathering and interpreting data and in reflecting on their own related experiences. In addition to focusing on models and skills of teaching, this work also emphasizes the social context that surrounds and influences teaching.
