A comprehensive survey of current work in the field, this volume discusses recent changes in the clinical and epidemiological features of Yersinia infection in different countries, antimicrobial susceptibility of pathogenic Yersiniae isolated in various parts of the world, and public health measures to prevent or control yersiniosis. Studies describe advances in the diagnosis of human and non-human infections using molecular subtyping and DNA amplification, and new methods with culture.
