Description

This work presents a review of optical security in the fields of paper and printing technology, embossed microgratings, layered microstructures, other optically variable security devices and laminates. The text provides an evaluation of the various security techniques and future developments and features an appendix with actual samples of various optical security options such as holograms, kinegrams, pixelgrams, pearl lustre inks, thin film devices and security papers with optically variable enclosures.
