Description and Table of Contents

Description

This atlas shows how breast ultrasound is done and how important it is to a complete breast cancer prevention programme. The reliability of this method alone and in combination with mammography is demonstrated in case studies. The book includes: basic teaching about sonographic anatomy and diagnostic criteria; analysis of numerous cases with differential diagnostic problems; and provides the resident with a schematic six-point pattern for analyzing the image. New to this edition are: high-resolution ultrasound, 3-D imaging, and state-of-the-art of Doppler ultrasound for the differentiation of breast lesions; and a revised and expanded chapter on problems of differential diagnosis. The book should be of interest to radiologists, gynaecologists, senologists and residents in radiology.
