Description
A Report on The 1991 National Prison Survey which was carried out by Social Survey Division of the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys on behalf of the Home Office Research and Planning Unit. The interviewing for the survey took place in January and February 1991, in all prison establishments in England and Wales. A one in ten sample of male prisoners and a one in five sample of female prisoners were selected for interview and a response rate of 90 per cent was achieved.
