Sherlock Holmes took his first bow within its pages, and such legendary detectives as Father Brown and Philip Trent were also regulars. This selection of 25 classic stories of mystery and detection contains many stories that have never previously been included in the author's collected works, and some that have never before appeared in book form. In addition to tales by Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, and Edgar Wallace, there are contributions from G.K. Chesterton, Aldous Huxley, and Somerset Maugham, among many others.
