内容説明
As the political and economic landscape in the Asian Pacific continues to shift, the Clinton administration must reevaluate its strategy toward the region. In his timely book, Martin Lasater explores U.S. interests in Asia, considering alternative strategies for attaining U.S. goals. Suggesting that the United States pursue a strategy of integration, the author contends that the remaining socialist countries should be included in the regions evolving economic, political, and military infrastructures. Lasater also proposes increased cultural interaction to disseminate ideas and open crucial lines of communication.
