Description and Table of Contents

Description

This collection of original essays represents the contemporary thought of scholars from Europe, China, India, North and South America. It has six parts: The Conceptual Basis for Christian Humanism, Scientific Aspects of Christian Humanism, Humanism, and the Person, Metaphysics of the Person, Theological Dimensions of Humanism and Humanistic Social Philosophy. The authors examine humanism with a Christian focus that makes this popular subject more meaningful in our contemporary technological society. Because secular humanism is so prevalent now, it is refreshing to have this new approach from internationally experienced authors who share a common faith in God as well as in the human potential.
