This volume addresses measures which can be taken to anticipate the potential impact of climate change in order to minimize negative effects and take advantage of any positive effects. It includes papers addressing adaptations in agriculture, water resources, coastal resources, forests and wildlife, fisheries and human settlements. Based on the 1995 International Conference on Climate Change Adaptation, this book focuses solely on the topic of adaptation.
