Description

The term "electromechanical designer" refers to a product designer involved with components and assemblies that contain elements that are mechanical, electrical and electronic by nature, all dependently combined to form the finished product. In many small companies, the electromechanical designer is responsible for the entire product - all aspects included. This reference aims to provide practical guidance for these professionals. It has not only been revised to reflect the latest technological advances, but has also been significantly expanded. There are now over 400 pages of new material on such areas as electronic components, circuit element equations, mathematics, product liability and patents. Featuring many actual product examples, plus hundreds of new illustrations, this handbook aims to avoid abstract theory and focus instead on real-world issues involved in developing parts, mechanisms and assemblies. Subject matter ranges from engineering mechanics and materials, to electrical and electronic design data, to spring and machine element design, to basic pneumatics.
