内容説明
The modern technology of radiation detection is essential to the success of many methods of medical imaging and for the increased reliability of radiation dosimetry. Development in this technology from high energy physics and semi-conductor engineering are being adapted to the stringent requirements of medicine and will continue to play an important role in improving the sophistication of medical diagnosis and treatment.
In this volume are collected the edited papers from the first Mayneord-Phillips Summer School, convened in Oxford, July 5-9m 1883. The authors were selected to give state of the art reviews on radiation detection systems to postgraduate medical physicists. In addition to its use in education this volume will be invaluable to medical physicists, biomedical engineers and clinical practitioners involved in the use of existing systems or in the development of new techniques.
