内容説明
Invertebrates (e.g. insects, spiders, worms, and snails) constitute approximately 75 per cent of living organisms. Due to this abundance and diversity, they play an essential role in the functioning of the natural and human-made environments, where they may be important indicators of environmental quality. This book is a guide to the invertebrate orders known to occur on land in Australia. A series of illustrated keys allows the reader to identify invertebrates to the order level. The text is supplemented by detailed line drawings of one species from each of the 68 orders.
