内容説明
In the majorities of the countries of the world, health care resources are very limited. This also affects antenatal care units, birthing units and places where newborn babies are cared for. The intention of this book is to present a text respecting the scarce resources that limit clinical management in perinatal care. The text aims to be appropriate in the sense of being globally adequate and applicable, given prevailing constraints. The authors believe that improvement of perinatal morbidity and mortality is not achieved only by using limited resources for purchases of highly sophisticated electronic devices, but also by improved knowledge. Emphasis is given not only to medical, but also to physiological and social aspects of perinatal care. The language level is aimed at readers with maternal languages other than English. Midwives, doctors and medical assistants working in perinatal care-pregnancy, birth and newborn period - are the target groups for this book. It was written in a spirit of stimulating active collaboration between obstetricians, paediatricians, midwives, nurses and traditional birth attendants.
Active delegation of responsibility among these categories is stressed.
