This book is about antisense oligonucleotides and their use in investigating mechanisms of drug action. It covers the basic concepts of antisense strategy and contains examples of how this new approach can be utilized to study receptors, and the transduction and mediation of drug actions. A wide spectrum of applications is presented, including in-vitro biochemical studies, in-vivo receptor sub-typing and G-protein coupling, and behavioral studies.
