Description

From 1991 Social Services Departments were required to establish a procedure for considering any representation including complaints, with a separate procedure for complaints about children's services. This report assessed the performance of five SSDs: Durham, Cornwall, Ealing, Solihull and Trafford. It identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the departments and makes recommendations to build on initial progress.
