内容説明
The author argues in this book that billions of dollars have been wasted on attempts to change organizations through programmes that were doomed before they started. Organizations are governed by inescapable laws that determine whether they will succeed or fail. This book aims to show how organizations can restructure themselves so that the changes they attempt to make will be successful. The underlying structure supporting business strategy is examined, and the author argues that "structure gives rise to behaviour". Only once structural forces are understood within the organization can managers bring the company goals to life by applying the principles associated with the process of creating. Understanding why an organization is the way it is enables the redesigning of that organization so that it can achieve its goals. The book demonstrates how to create consistency throughout an organization, in every level, of every department, and reveals techniques that can be used in all levels from project teams to senior groups concerned with strategic planning.
