Description
This manual is the latest in the training series of the Fishing Technology Services of FAO. It was conceived as a result of the increasing demand in many developing countries for safer, better and cleaner facilities for fishing vessels, particularly for the smaller craft used by small-scale artisanal fishermen and -women. It describes the equipment and methods used in the construction of harbours and landing places and gives advice on how to maintain them so that they can function efficiently.
