Description
This volume illustrates the development of style from the late-Rococo through the neo-classical to the elaborate designs of Paisley shawls in the 1840s. Brocaded silks, cut velvets, silk damasks, glazed worsteds, chines, striped taffetas and fine gauzes are all illustrated.
