Description

The correct implementation of the ISO 14000 series of International Standards is entirely dependent on valid measurements, which in turn require the correct approach to recovery factors - yet at present there is no International Standard or Guide on the correct use of recovery factors. This means that it is incredibly problematic to obtain a real picture of whether and when the use of recovery factors is forbidden, tolerated, encouraged or required. Often the choice is left to the analyst in charge, which is a clearly unacceptable situation.
