内容説明
Each year over #1400 million is spent in the UK alone on electrical power to operate pumps. It is frequently the case that far too many pumps are bought on the basis of low capital cost - this is usually greatly exceeded by the lifetime energy cost. There are, therefore, vast opportunities for saving enery and thereby total costs in the area of fluid machinery. This collection of papers presents problems and solutions which are drawn from practical industrial experience. The book is divided into four broad areas: pump and system design; testing and refurbishment; motors and drives; and specific applications.
