Description

This volume presents the papers from the sixth IMechE conference on vibrations in rotating machinery. The papers examine the ways in which vibrations and noise influence the performance of machines and other rotation assemblies which embody primary rotating elements. Examples are drawn from a broad field encompassing: plant used in power generation, processing, aircraft, marine, automotive, agriculture, mining and machine tool applications. They also explore solutions to practical vibration problems arising from the design, manufacture, and/or operation of rotating machines as assemblies.
