Description and Table of Contents

Description

There has been ongoing research into the nature of the relationship between mortality and fertility and the socio-economic factors that affect that relationship. Health, family planning and educational institutions are regarded in the present day as a mediator of fertility and mortality behaviour. Three case studies were performed to examine the interrelationships between child survival and fertility. The analysis focused on how availability and contact with community health and family planning services mediate the relationships between child survival and fertility.
