Description
As part of the preparations for the UN International Conference on Population and Development in 1994, a group meeting was held on the topic of population and women. Contained in this volume are the report and recommendations of the meeting and the papers submitted to it. Particular attention is paid to issues of women's reproductive health, education and economic activity. The situations of both developed and developing countries are considered, although the main emphasis is on the latter.
