Description and Table of Contents
Description
The controversy over the dumping of nuclear waste will dominate the headlines in 1988. The publication of the Government enquiry into the propsed sites for dumping in the spring will generate large quantities of comment, rhetoric, technical obscurantism and political position-taking about one of the most divisive environmental problems of the next decade. In order to provide facts three nuclear writers have put together an introduction to the nuclear waste issue, its history, its nature, the conflicting cases, the scientific realities, the engineering solutions, the likely course of events and what should happen. This book covers both the scientific dimensions of the problem and also the political and economic and political issues which will determine the outcome.
