Description

Researches in Humanities Computing is an annual publication which represents the state of the art in humanities comouting. Each volume contains a selection of the papers presented at the joint annual conference of the Association for Computers in the Humanities (ACH), based in North America, and the Association for Literary and Linguistic Computing (ALLC), based in Europe. ACH and ALLC are the two major associations for the use of computers in scholarly research and teaching in a wide range of humanities disciplines including archaeology, art, history, languages, literature, music, and philosophy. The papers in this volume, as in previous volumes, focus on the analysis and interpretation of electronically-captured texts and on the structure of language, particularly the lexicon and morphosyntax. This book is intended for teachers and researchers interested in computing applications in humanities disciplines, especially linguistics and textual studies.
