Description
This text focuses on Rice-wheat production, undoubtedly the most important cropping system in the world today. It covers approximately 22 million hectares and feeds around one billion people in continental Asia. In view of projected global defecit of about 45 million tones of rice and wheat by the year 2005, the importance of rice-wheat production systems can hardly be over emphasized.
