Description and Table of Contents

Description

McTaggart tackles the fundamental aspects of metaphysical enquiry in this work: the essence of God, belief and mysticism, time, eternity, causality, self, immortality, the nature of good, individual purpose and value. A biographical preface to McTaggart is included in this edition in combination with the original introduction by S.V. Keeling. The book is part of Thoemmes' "Key Texts" series which are facsimile paperback editions of books which have been unavailable. The series gives particular emphasis to less popularized works of major thinkers in the history of ideas. Classic monographs are also featured.
