Description
The discovery and diagnosis of new anxiety states which may or may not respond to specific pharmacotherapy, animal models and the pharmacological mechanisms of mental health is being met by much scientific and clinical interest worldwide. As a result, an increasing range of new drugs is emerging as potential treatment for panic, obsessive compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress syndrome The second edition in the Wiley series "Clinical and Neurobiological Advances in Psychiatry", this text offers a review of anxiety in all its manifestations and new drug treatments for each of the major indications. Genetics and up to date developments are considered.
