Including works by Richard Avedon, Cecil Beaton, Erwin Blumenfeld, Irving Penn, Horst P. Horst, George Hoyningen-Huene and Man Ray, this volume provides a survey of international fashion photography during its golden age in the mid-20th century, but above all it is a portrait of a talented woman who transformed fashion photographs into works of art. Included is an essay by Martin Harrison.
