Description and Table of Contents
Description
Discusses developments in the theoretical and practical approaches of toughness in thermosets and thermoplastics. The book covers review and reports of scientists on late-1990s advances in toughening science and technology. It provides a review of the principles of toughening and discusses synthetic approaches to the modification of plastics for scientists and engineers. This text also examines the applications of fracture mechanics and failure mechanisms in order to better understand and improve toughening as well as detailing the effects of microstructure, morphology, and mechanical properties on performance of plastics.
