Description
This text is a guide to interpreting radiographic images of the biliary tree and pancreatic duct. It describes and illustrates normal and abnormal endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatographic (ERCP) findings and correlates these findings with the results of complementary computed tomography, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging studies. Emphasis is on identifying ERCP patterns to facilitate differential diagnosis and clinical decision-making. The book contains more than 400 images, including films obtained during ERCP examinations and CT, ultrasound and MR images. Coverage encompasses the full spectrum of the biliary tree and pancreatic duct patholgy, including imaging findings related to AIDS and liver transplantation. Extensive differential diagnosis tables are included. Where appropriate the authors describe current endoscopic interventional techniques and current imaging procedures, such as magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP). The book also provides instructions for ERCP filming to obtain high-quality images.
