The Danish engineer Ove Arup founded his construction and civil engineering firm in London in 1945. This publication deals with the history of the firm, in particular the intellectual relationship with other professionals. It presents projects completed by the firm and explains the different notions of "innovation in engineering". The book also looks into research and developments in the field, and at the training and further training programmes for engineers.
