内容説明
Once sexual abuse of a child is suspected, how can this be corroborated? This question, which has given rise to some controversy in recent years, has been widely addressed both at conferences and in articles based on research findings, clinical opinions and writers' opinions. This Study Guide critically reviews this literature, together with relevant unpublished work and accounts of clinical practice.
Intended for the broad spectrum of service providers involved in child interveiwing and assessment, the Guide focuses on the alleged victim - how to gather and assess information from and about the child. Fundamental knowledge areas are identified and appropriate evaluation methods discussed. The knowledge areas include: documentation; questioning techniques; children as witnesses; media for assessing children; and false allegations.
