内容説明

The roots of the current social crisis in India are examined in this book. The author explores the inter-relationship between indigenous and Western institutions, the assumptions under which they work, and the likelihood of the country transiting from micro-cellular relationships and norms to more impersonal structures that characterize modern macro institutions. This is done through a comparative historical analysis of India and Europe.
