内容説明
Hyperactivity is common, indeed it may be the most common disorder of childhood for certain age groups with an incidence of up to 17%. This is the second in a new series in child and adolescent psychiatry which brings together developmental studies with the latest information on psychopathology and management. Drawing upon international expertise this volume provides balanced and in-depth reviews of different aspects of empirical research in the area of childhood hyperactivity ranging from epidemiology to experimental psychology and molecular biology. Its strong developmental perspective also incorporates early attachment theory, detailed behavioural observation research, and longitudinal outcome studies into adulthood. A review of treatment approaches provides practical information and chapters on sex differences and cross-national studies are new in books in this field.
