Description

Quantitative Methods in Management reviews the following mathematical concepts and techniques: matrix algebra, linear programming, differential calculus, the calculus of multivariate functions and integral calculus. The author then shows how they can be used to solve problems in a variety of business areas such as marketing, economics, finance, accounting and management. Applications considered include linear and non-linear regression, input-output analysis, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, the transportation/allocation problem, optimization, the lagrangian multiplier and the fundamental theorem of calculus.
