Description and Table of Contents
Description
The volume systematically describes all inorganic compounds composed of beryllium, at least one of the following elements C, Si, P, As, Sb, Bi, an alkali element, and NH4, as well as optional elements H, O, N, halogens, chalcogens, and B. The volume thus contains all information on the carbide Be2C which is of technological interest; on a number of natural silicate minerals, e.g., phenakite Be2SiO4 with a fundamental structure type; bertrandite Be4(OH)2Si2O7; chkalovite Na2BeSi2O6 , as well as on the important group of the beryllates with alkali elements or NH4 and halogens. Information on the glassy phases and melts is included.
