Description
This report presents information on the health and health-related behaviour of sentenced male prisoners in England and Wales. Using simple summaries, charts and tables, information is displayed for a wide range of topics including: characteristics of the prisoners such as age and length of sentence; self-reported general health, longstanding illness and use of health services; health-related behaviour - smoking, activity and exercise and diet; and physical measurements such as height, weight and blood pressure. In addition the report compares the health and health-related behaviour of sentenced male prisoners with those adult males in the general population.
