内容説明

This study presents a discussion of the philosophy of science and its relation to education. Its main points are that science is the knowledge that arises from the connection of theory to experience and that the theoretical component of science is missing from much of science education. In defending the objectivity of science against postmodern critics, the book discusses certainty in quantum mechanics, science in the social sciences, and intelligence in education.
