Description
Various aspects of the ecology, biology, behaviour, distribution, population and morphology of wild reindeer are discussed in this text. Scientific principles of their conservation and rational exploitation are developed, and the present status and utilization of pasture lands is examined. The text goes on to demonstrate the principles of conservation of large migrating populations and individual herds of wild reindeer. The problems of restoring the range to its original level is also discussed.
