内容説明
The ability to make a neurological diagnosis depends above all on the capacity to understand the patient's history, to carry out a reliable examination and to interpret neurological symptons and signs. 'Clinical Skills in Neurology' is a guide to the tricks of the trade in neurology - providing the student with the information needed to cope with neurological problems and their assessment. Divided into three sections, this book provides a fully illustrated guide and problem-orientated approach to neurological examination and clinical management. Chapter 1 covers the taking of the history and the technique of examination. Chapter 2 looks at common problems and their assessment, offering strategies built on critical points extracted in either the history or the examination. Chapter 3 covers available investigations - reviewing their use and application.
Based on the successful 'Neurological Skills' but completly updated and revised with the addition of a substantial amount of new material, 'Clinical Skills in Neurology' should achieve its aims: to provide a complete primer of neurological diagnosis which should help to build the confidence of any student approaching a neurological examination. This book attempts to demystify neurology but retain its fascination.
