Description
This edition of the US Army's warfighting handbook reflects Army thinking in the post-Cold War era. It is an authoritative guide to how the Army plans and conducts campaigns, major operations, battles and engagements. It still provides key operational guidance for commanders and trainers at all echelons, and forms the foundation for Army service school curricula. However, the book also takes into account the newly changed threats, reflects the recent emphasis on stronger joint operations, and even contains guidance on non-combat operations - missions on which the Army is being send more frequently. Built on the wisdom gained from recent experience, this book crystallizes the Army's doctrine for fighting future wars.
